The support ticket system is back up. Players and teams can resume their normal dispute methods.

Support tickets
Due to some recent issues with the TPG support ticket system, we wont be able to handle your tickets in a normal fashion this week. There was an error in the ticket database so we are updating/reinstalling the MySQL system. It may be down for a week or 2. If you need to speak to an admin about a dispute, you can email me or Narc and we can help you. We apologize for the inconvenience, we're working to get everything fixed as soon as possible.

TPG postponed for holidays
TPG will be taking a 2 week break from matches to celebrate the holiday season. Week 5 had already been scheduled for December 26th, and I know a lot of teams already scheduled their matches, but I am removing them and pushing everything back 2 weeks. We will return on January 9th, 2011 with the same week 5 schedule on dod_saints. I hope it was a good year for your all. Have a good holiday and happy new year!

New suspensions page
I'm changing the way the active suspensions are listed in the suspensions link in the side menu. From now on all active suspensions will be in that link once again. There was a problem with it before of me not being able to remove old entries due to some limited backend access. Also, I'm not going to have the main news page cluttered with suspension posts any more, so they will be deleted after being there for 2 weeks. All players and teams will still be held accountable for any active suspensions even after they've been removed from the news announcements! If you have questions on yours or any other suspensions, refer to that page from now on.

Config change
I've made a small change to the TPG match config (tpgbasic.cfg).
mp_clan_timer 0 has been changed to
mp_clan_timer 10This will start a 10 second countdown after each team types "ready". It wont be the mandatory config this season since I already released the official season 24 config bundle, but it's a nice addition and it will give you a good opportunity to start your demos at the right time without excessive recording prior to actually going live. Download it from the link below and replace the current TPG config that's on your server..

Season under way, update

Update
With some members of the community making it known to me that some of their favored maps weren't included this season, I've decided to make a change to the schedule. While I wasn't willing to take some maps out, I am willing to extend the season to 10 weeks to have some of them included in the rotation. I've edited the post below to reflect the change.
We're also looking more into the restrictions in boosting, so be aware that the situation with that may change soon. It will still be allowed in a general sense, but the rule will be refined to make sure it's used properly.

Announcing Season 24
We are about to start season 24 here at TPG 6v6. The rotation has just been finalized and the divisions will be reorganized within the next few days. Preseason will begin on November 7th, so good luck to everyone!
There has also been some changes made to the rules. We would advise all team captains, and players, to review them. Rule 7.5 has been modified to allow boosting, and rule 5.5 has added a restriction that prohibits specific types of 3rd party plugins. Keep in mind the boosting rule has an added consequence and should be used appropriately. Refer to rule 7.4 for the specifics on that. Otherwise you may use the support ticket system if you have any questions.

Labor Day weekend
TPG will be off this Sunday due to the Labor Day holiday. We had considered scheduling matches for the week but then we realized that many people would likely be spending time with their families and friends, or on vacation. Week 6 will, instead, resume on September 12th on donner.

New European division
We are happy to announce the addition of a European division to the TPG league! Kaiser will be the acting admin for the division, so all related inquiries can be directed to him. He speaks fluent French and English, has enough experience with the game, and has proven to be responsible and dedicated enough to do the job. The Euro division will be bound to the same config rules as the US and South American teams: one map, two 20 minute rounds, two kar limit, etc. Kaiser will also have control over their suspensions/blacklist for the time being. I strongly advise all of the European newcomers to also go over our rules as well.
TPG looks forward to serving another DoD community, we hope you enjoy playing with us.

Week 3 postponed
As some of you know, the TPG website had being experiencing some technical difficulties over the weekend. Therefore, as a result, I am postponing all week 3 matches to next week. No one will be required to play or report any matches this Sunday, even if your teams confirmed the time in the TPG scheduler. Week 3 will be rescheduled for August 15th, and everything else will be bumped up a week. Our apologies for the inconvenience.

Kicking off the regular season
Regular season is coming up this Sunday, starting with dod_lennon_b2. Hope everyone is looking forward to it. I've made some minor rule changes that I want to point out, as well as going over some of the existing ones. If you are at all unfamiliar with the rules of TPG, I do suggest that you look over them. Participation in the league means you are to be held responsible for any rule infractions.
Rule 4.1 - Changed some of the times related to scheduling. Teams now have up to 1 hour before the default TPG match time(Sunday 9PM EST) to contact their opponent via the TPG Scheduler before they become eligible for a ff loss. This is to prevent teams from waiting until the very last minute to respond to their opponent in the scheduler. In addition, rescheduled matches must now be played within 3 days of the default time. If a team cannot arrange a time to play before then, they will receive a ff loss. I would like to have your schedules up for the next week by Thursday, and I'd prefer to have all previous matches sorted out by then.
Rule 4.2 - Fixed a loophole that would potentially allow a suspended player to play.
Rule 4.4 - No changes made to this rule, but it needs to be stressed. Every TPG player needs to take 4 valid screenshots, 2 per round. If you're a sniper you need 6, with the other 2 being the scoped screenshots. Each screenshot taken in the beginning part of a round needs to have the scoreboard showing, cl_minimap, and net_graph on. There are no exceptions to this.
Rule 7.4 - Even more important than your screenshots are your demos. Failure to provide demos is a serious issue and is not acceptable under any circumstance. There has already been 1 suspension made due to someone not providing their demos and we haven't even hit regular season. I want to remind you all to, please, record your demos! I am also aware that demos can be manually corrupted. Corrupt demos are looked upon the same as no demos. There are no exceptions.

Maps and configs
I put some .zip files together of the season 23 maps you'll be needing to play. It includes all of the custom maps that you can just extract to your "dod" folder. There's a separate config bundle too for all you server operators. Again, just extract those to the "dod" folder in your server ftp and you're ready to go. We do have the files hosted in the downloads section individually but this may save you some time. Preseason is a week away and we are kicking it off with dod_sherman2_b6 so make sure you have the map and, if you're the home team, that it's on your server.

Season 23 Announcement
Season 23 will soon be upon us. I would like to officially introduce myself as the new DoD head admin. My name is Randy, or in the community I'm commonly known by "rwc". Like many of you I've played this game for many years. Since 2001 in fact. I've played at every level and have had my share of ups and downs. I've seen what the community has gone through and where it's at today and I'm going to do my best to at least make sure we have a respectable, and competitive, place to play. A second admin, TPG|Narc, will also be helping me. He has been in the community for many years, has played at all levels, and has prior admin experience. We'll do our best to bring you guys a smooth running league. We invite all teams, past, present, and future, to come and participate! Shooting for a preseason start date of June 27th.
We are getting the league set up right now. So if you have any questions or concerns, please use the support ticket system. We will be checking them frequently.
Also, if there is an interest for it, we will bring back the 3vs3 division.
